Himalayan forest at dawn

Our Story

Born of the forest. Built by hand.

Vanaushadhi is a quiet rebellion against everything modern skincare has become.

Our work is rooted in vanaspati chikitsa — the medicine of forest plants: knowing which leaves to pick at sunrise, which roots to dig in monsoon, and which flowers have to wait for the moon. Formulas like these — slow, seasonal, alive — rarely make it onto a mass-market shelf. They are too patient for the modern marketplace.

We started Vanaushadhi to bring that patience back. Our soaps are cured slowly, our oils are given time to mature, and our ubtans are ground fresh, in small batches, by hands that learned the work from someone who learned it from someone before.

We aren't a brand chasing scale. We're an apothecary keeping a 5,000-year-old conversation alive — between the forest, the body, and the rituals that connect them.

A note on Ayurveda

Not a trend. A 5,000-year-old science.

Every formula we make is rooted in the Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita — the foundational Sanskrit texts of Ayurvedic medicine — and reviewed by qualified Ayurvedic practitioners before it leaves our workshop.
